Bahamas Fishing

Bahamas trips are one of our customer’s favorite trips. With the island of Bimini being only 49 miles from Ft. Lauderdale, it’s really not as far as most people think, yet it’s thousands of miles away from the hustle and bustle of our reality.

Here’s a little idea of what to expect on a 3 day/2 night Bahamas trip with us:

On the first day, we like to get an early start, say, 6:30 to 7:00 a.m. and run off shore a good 5 -15 miles looking for the deep blue water of the Gulf Stream. Even though we can get to the island in just a matter of a few hours we like to fish our way over there for some Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo and even Blue Marlin!
Once we’ve reached the blue waters we’ll slow it down to 8 – 9 knots and set out trolling baits and lures and let the fun begin.
I often hear getting over to Bimini is half the fun and in this case it is 100% true. We do need to get to the island by 4:30 p.m. in order to check in with customs.
Once we’ve checked in and everyone has their rooms and showered, we’ll meet back at the boat for some drinks and dinner (which has been in the oven cooking all day!)
After a gourmet meal and a few cold ones it’s ether off to bed or out to the local sites that could include the local watering holes, the casino, or the shops.
(We do try to make it an early night because we will be fishing and diving all day once we all get up) BUT THAT IS ENTIRLY UP TO YOU!!

The second day out fishing we have a variety of fish we can target, from Blue Marlin, to trolling for Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, or even some bottom fishing for Grouper and Snapper! You’ll also have the chance to dive for Snapper, Grouper, Hogfish, or Lobster, BUT the goal is to bring dinner back to the dock for a big seafood festival. Of course, there is that deserted sandy beach we could stop and have lunch at.
After dinner you can relax the way you like. Visit the casino, maybe the local watering hole, or take a stroll down the island streets.

And the third day, you’ll have the choice of sleeping in, breakfast at a local diner, shopping, or more fishing and getting back on the water bright and early to fishing our way back to the mainland.

Fishing in the Bahamas with us gives you the advantage of fishing with guys that are not only there to help show you the best time you can have, but also guys that have the local knowledge of the island and the waters around the island for fishing, diving or pulling up to a deserted sandy beach island for lunch.

We have done our best to keep the prices as affordable as possible so we just charge you for the boat and we let you pick up the expenses so you see where the $ is going.
All water, soda, chips/snacks, and ice are on us along with all the GREAT dinners we cook! You’re more than welcome BYOB. The boat has lots of storage, refrigeration, and coolers to keep everything ice cold.

-We charge $2000 dollars a day and while you can bring up to 6 in your party, 3 to 4 is a little more suited and comfortable for this kind of trip.

-Dockage is roughly $70 dollars a night
-Rooms for two are right at a $100 a night
-Customs, immigrations, traveling permit and fishing licenses $350 dollars for the entire trip.
-Fuel on average for 3 days is 300 gallons. We should have no problem holding enough fuel for the entire trip so we don’t have to pay the high dollar fuel price of the Bahamas but I fill the tanks before we leave and you fill them up once we’re back.

The money you win or lose at casino???

Gratuity is at your discretion but we bust our butts and 15% to 20% is always appreciated.
